Selections process for teams U8 – U12, girls and boys.
During the trial period these teams will be selected to go into one of three skill based groups.
Kanga – higher skill levelsWallaby – medium skill levelsJoey – social skill levels
Once chosen, team names will be given to each group which are NOT the same as the skill levels.
If your child has been chosen to go into a Kanga group then they will be required to train twice a week. An invitation will be sent to you to accept the second night of training and you have 1 week to accept and pay the extra $100. If you choose not to accept the second night then your child will be moved to a Wallaby group and another child will be offered the position.
Second night training for others than Kanga
A second nights training will be offered to all other players, both girls and boys that did not qualify for the Kanga groups. This is optional not compulsory. Please note that it is likely that boys and girls will be grouped together.
Both Kanga & non- Kanga groups will receive specialist Skill Acquisition coaching on the second night to complement team coaching provided on the first.
To attend the trials you must be signed up on the club registration for insurance purposes.
Good luck and good football to you all!
