Mighty Bees
All Abilities Group

We are really happy to be able to provide a program for neurodiverse kids in our community, who need that extra level of understanding and support.
This year, our All Abilities program is being delivered by our two main coaches, Simon Danby and Danny Shavitsky, with the ongoing support of Caren Lubofsky.
Simon is a well-established tennis coach, having coached both in Israel and Australia. He is also a
high-level table tennis player and is hoping to represent Australia at the Maccabiah Games. He has
had some exposure supporting people with disability, and looks forward to working with and coaching
your children in a positive, inclusive environment.

Danny has over forty years’ experience as a player and qualified coach in a variety of club, school and holiday program settings. He has previously worked as a secondary school teacher and case manager in the youth sector, so is well-placed to support your children.
Caren, who will continue as the Program Co-ordinator and reserve coach, has lived experience with neurodiversity which allows her to understand and guide your children, and hopefully provide some valuable tips along the way. Please reach out to her if you have any queries about this program, to see if we can support your child, or about neurodiversity in general.
Mighty Bees is a fun, skills-based program that focuses on supporting children with both their fitness and social skills in a non-competitive, inclusive environment. We welcome children of any gender between the ages of 5 and 16 years old. As we understand the difficulties that All Abilities families face, siblings are welcome to join in. We also encourage parents and carers to stay, get involved and cheer on the Mighty Bees!

For 2026, Maccabi FC Caulfield is including Mighty Bees as an offering within our new Social Member programs.
This initiative reflects our deep commitment to the community, bringing the joy and camaraderie of football to people who may not be able to participate in a regular weekday competition.
It's about opening the game to all and enriching lives through sport.
The value-driven annual fee for a Social Membership is only $100 +$30 for insurance for 1 year from Jan to Dec 2026.
The annual fee is $130, with no prorated discounts for those joining during the first half of the year.
This membership provides you with the opportunity to play in Mighty Bees, as well as Parky Soccer and/or Sunday Evening Soccer Mums programs.
Your contribution helps us keep this inspiring community commitment going.
Please be aware that registration is required to ensure that your child is covered by our insurance. It is your responsibility to complete registration and should you not do so, this will be taken as acceptance that your child is uninsured and that you will not hold Maccabi Victoria or any of their clubs liable for any injury sustained during this program.
We are not registered for NDIS, however our program may be covered by your NDIS plan. For any queries, we suggest you contact your LAC, who should be able to support you with this. More info here: https://www.ndis.gov.au/participants/using-your-plan/who-can-help-start-your-plan
As our coaches are training a group of children and are not able to provide 1:1 support, please ensure that a parent, carer or support worker remains present, if you feel that your child may require this extra level of support.
