Building a Legacy: Female Football at Maccabi FC Caulfield

Long before female football captured the national spotlight, Maccabi FC Caulfield (originally North Caulfield Junior FC) was actively forging a path for women and girls in our community.

Our history of dedicated support hit a landmark milestone in 2014, when we entered our very first Senior Women’s team into the Football Victoria (then FFV) State League 4 South-East competition. That historic season laid the foundation for a vibrant, inclusive environment where female athletes could thrive, compete, and lead.

A New Chapter: The Bees Take the Pitch

The journey of our senior women has evolved into an exciting dual force. In 2026, after a brief hiatus and the tremendous success of our Soccer Mums initiative, our senior women's program returned stronger than ever—spawning two distinct, inspiring teams competing in the same Football Victoria league:

  • The Queen Bees: Our dynamic, younger women’s side bringing energy, tactical skill, and competitive fire to every match.

  • The Wild Bees: The natural evolution of our Soccer Mums program, proving that passion for the game has no age limit and that it's never too late to take the pitch.

A Pathway for Every Stage of Life

At Maccabi FC Caulfield, our vision spans generations. We are committed to nurturing players from their very first touches as 4-year-olds, supporting them through junior development, and guiding them into senior competition. For those looking for a different pace, our pathway extends all the way to Walking Football—ensuring a lifelong connection to the game.

We take immense pride in having championed female sport long before it became fashionable. If you are looking to play, grow, and belong to a truly progressive community, this is the place to bee.
