Season Wrap-Up: A Summer of Growth for Maccabi FC Futsal

As the summer sun begins to set on our inaugural Futsal season, we look back with immense pride at what has been achieved in just a few short months.

What started as a vision for a newly devised off-season program became a reality this year. We were thrilled to field five Maccabi FC teams across three age groups:

• 1 x U10 Team

• 2 x U12 Teams (including our finalists, the U12 Swarm)

• 2 x U14 Teams (including our finalists, the U14 Swarm)

This initiative was designed to keep our players’ touches sharp and their competitive spirits high during the football off-season, and the results across all five squads exceeded our expectations.

Finals Fever

A special mention must go to our U12 Swarm and U14 Swarm teams, who both fought their way into the Grand Finals of their respective divisions at GESAC.

Both squads entered their final matches facing the challenge of injuries and absentees, yet they displayed the true Maccabi spirit. In two incredibly tight contests, both teams held their own through the first half, showing technical skill and grit. While the second-half results (4–0 for the U14s and 7–2 for the U12s) didn't go our way, the score lines don't reflect the heart these players showed under pressure.

The Team Behind the Teams

This successful debut would not have been possible without the tireless work of our coaching staff. We owe a debt of gratitude to Head Coach Dylan, whose vision and leadership laid the foundation for this program. Dylan was ably supported by our dedicated Futsal coaching team, who volunteered their time and expertise to ensure our players developed both their skills and their love for the game.

Looking Ahead to 2026

To our players, parents, and supporters: thank you. Your commitment to this new program has built a foundation we are excited to grow.

As we transition into the regular 2026 FV season, we are already planning to expand the Futsal program later this year. We look forward to seeing the "Swarm" grow even larger and stronger in the seasons to come.
