Last night, Sunday, February 8th, the air at the Caulfield Park pavilion was electric with anticipation. It marked the official launch of the Stingers—a bold new chapter in youth development for Maccabi FC Caulfield (MFCC).
The induction evening brought together the inaugural U12 and U13 Stingers squads, setting a professional and inspiring tone for the 2026 season. Under the leadership of Coach Sammy Want, the program isn't just about playing football; it’s about raising the bar for what young athletes can achieve.
Vision and Leadership
The evening featured insights from the club’s leadership, each sharing a unified vision for the future of the Stingers:
Sammy Want (Program Head): Presented a comprehensive roadmap for 2026, outlining the high standards and tactical expectations that will define the Stingers' identity.
Ari Singer (MFCC President) & Kevin Milstein (General Manager): Spoke to the club’s commitment to providing enhanced resources and support for this elite pathway.
Dylan D’souza (MFCC Head Coach & Stingers Coach): Addressed the 40-strong audience of players and parents, emphasizing the growth mindset required to succeed at this level.
More Than Just a Team
The Stingers program represents the first step in a long-term evolution for MFCC. While these U12 and U13 teams are the pioneers, the club’s vision is expansive: a Stingers team in every age group, for both boys and girls. By increasing the "input" from the club—through specialised coaching and structured development—MFCC is ensuring that the "output" on the pitch is nothing short of excellence.
