Women’s Futsal Gold goes to Oz!

The Australian Women’s Futsal team arrived at Maccabiah 21 with one aim in mind, to make a good account of themselves and then they went beyond their own expectations.

The team that included MFCC women’s team players Tahni Paluch and Dahlia Sion, as well as coached by Melissa Maizels, competed in four games before making it to the final against USA.

Along the way Martin Jona was called upon to help out the team when needed and as he reported on the final, “Australia won the final against USA after 2 extra times and penalties!!”

The team was elated and even Martin got a taste of the Futsal gold.

We couldn’t be any happier for them all and cant wait to see that gold medal at Caulfield Park.
